ROSENBACH MUSEUM

Studio Bryan Hanes was asked to conceptualize a design for a 3,000 square foot private garden and open space at the Rosenbach Museum and Library. The proposed strategy bridges contemporary form with a traditional materials palette in keeping with the existing building's Victorian style and surrounding neighborhood. With a need for inclusive access and space that supports a diverse range of activities, the design, grounded in its placement of existing relics and sculptures, integrates moments of intimate engagement, open space, and access routes for all visitors. The proposed concept was recently approved by the museum’s design committee and can be expected to progress to subsequent phases in 2017.
