ZONE OF CONFLUENCE | Grinnell College

Under new leadership, Grinnell College is making efforts to strengthen the relationship between Grinnell College and the city of Grinnell. Studio | Bryan Hanes and the planning team was tasked with the challenge of determining a catalytic project which could provide starting grounds for future development along 6th Avenue, Park Street and Main Street, the major circulation routes through campus. Community, student, and faculty meetings were held to engage a broad scope of users and gather an extensive understanding of those user group needs. The result is a formal document outlining an inventory, analysis, economic development reports, suggested use, potential development scenarios, and intended phasing opportunities.
